- 28 dominoes are needed for a game.
- Before handing out dominoes are mixed by a player, sitting opposite the one who makes the 1-st MOVE (lets call him a player 1); then they are mixed again by a player 1, he himself is the last to take his dominoes.
Dominoes should be hand out once again, if someone has got 5 DOUBLES or 6 dominoes of the same suit.
- To determine the seats of players at the table and a player 1 dominoes have to be mixed, then players take only 1 domino per a person. The one, who has got the minor suit, is a player 1 in the 1-st set of the game. Besides, he chooses any seat he likes at the table; his rival with a minor domino sits to his left hand. Partners take the seats opposite each other.
If there is the same number of spots on dominoes, the minor is the one which has the minor suit. Players make their MOVES one after another. If someone does not have suitable/appropriate domino to make a MOVE, he has to announce it or to show it by a gesture, understandable to everyone.
- A set is considered to be over, when one of players has put his last domino in a GAME LINE or GAME LINE is locked (DEADLOCK).
- Results of sets that are over, are registered by one of players or a referee. A pair, which has won a set, has got 1 point, whereas a pair, that has lost a set, has got 0 in a register. If there is played a drawn game (with equal dominoes spots), pairs have got 0,5 point each. If a GAME LINE is locked, spots of both pairs are counted. A winner is the pair having less spots. There are given 15 seconds to think over the next move, if there are no any other regulations. A player may draw referees attention to longer time of rivals thinking.
Games in pair tournaments are not supposed to be a draw. (If it happens like that, a referee mixes up dominoes, a player 1 is determined and 1 extra SET is played (if it is a draw again, sets are played until one of the pairs scores.)
- If a player, having necessary domino, passes a MOVE, a pair, that has made such a mistake, is considered as a loser of the SET.
- If a wrong domino is put in a GAME LINE and this fact is found out a few moves later or in the end of the SET, a pair, that has made the mistake, is considered as a loser of the set. If such sort of the mistake is found out right after a MOVE, a player is warned for his domino to be shown, and a SET can be kept playing or started from the very beginning. A decision about that is made by a referee. A referee also can restart the SET in case if it is impossible to find the player who has made a mistake, playing with a wrong domino.
- A referee can make warning for exceeding time limit of thinking over a MOVE, for talks, showing dominoes or any signs given to a partner. After the second warning to a pair the SET is considered to be lost by it. In case of the third warning in the game, a pair is considered as losing the game with a score -1 (according to a number of sets) if this pair was leading in the game, or their rivals are given extra points to become winners in case the pair that violated the rules was losing the game. In case of the fourth warning during the competition a pair is expelled from the tournament. Such a player cannot participate in the next club tournament or together with organization fee should pay a penalty which is three times as much as the fee. For the players having benefits the sum of a penalty is 50 roubles.
